 China National Agriculture Wholesale Market Association (CAWA)
The China National Agriculture Wholesale Market Association (CAWA) is a national industry association approved in 1986 by the Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs. It relates to the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, directed by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China . CAWA is composed of national and local agricultural product and byproduct wholesale and retail markets, as well as related enterprises, research units, social associations and individuals. CAWA is an association with a wide social foundation within the Chinese agricultural product distribution field. The motto of CAWA is: To be of assistance to government, we support the ministry in making and implementing relevant policy and regulations, in the management of the industry. We also contribute to information systems that connect the government with enterprises. Members of CAWA, both the wholesale and retail enterprises as well as other related individuals help make CAWA a real home for enterprises. CAWA, as a member of WUWM, has established close relationships with well known and respected wholesale markets and other related organizations. CAWA Chairman Mr Zengjun Ma has been invited to make speeches and presentations at prior conferences of the WUWM, as well as at other global meetings. CAWA is honored in September 2007, to be hosts of this 25th WUWM Congress. |
